Lucky Charms are magically delicious and so is JEWELRY! One of my favorite jewelry designers, Dana Lorenz of Fenton/Fallon continues to wow us season after season with her over-the-top statement pieces, terrific textures, and sparkling situations. Dana recently invited me and a few other fab friends over and let us loose in her shop. She graciously gifted charms and broken pieces of past collections for a special P.S. project! I loved the idea of blinging out my fall bag with a bag charm using her fun elements.
To create a chic bag charm, re-purpose broken or old jewlez, charms, pendants, pieces, basically anything fun you can get your hands on. Tie your bits and bobs onto string or cording and secure to a binder ring. Make sure you hang at different lengths to create a staggered effect. Clip onto your bag with a carabiner clip and you are one leading lucky charm lady!
too cute.

Fashion Fantasy Friday!!!
Bally Spring 2011
Good Morning everyone and welcome to this week’s fashion fantasy. Click over to Rhett for his take on the menswear.
So last Sunday we went up to the Bally store and with the help of rockstar store manager Jesse West, we put together four looks each, we’ll be showing two at a time.
This is my vague Euro prep look; a simple leather skirt with a knit hemp blouse. The top has these insane zippers on the sleeves and center front with black leather plackets. I love how the top is sporty with the ribbed cuffs and hem, but then has the leather and this great heavy, gold hardware that makes it so chic. I asked Jesse to choose a classic flat shoe, one that Bally is known for, to go with this. Here, bone and black ballet flats with small bows on them. Classic and feminine, the sort of thing you can throw on with a black leather skirt, jeans, a shift dress… whatever!
Tavi in Pop
The second full look. OK, this one… I almost had a heart attack over, and here’s why. This look is so subtly (and yet COMPLETELY) about the textures and techniques. The olive suede zip-up (BUTTER. SOFT… by the way) was a perforated leather; the footwear utilized intricately woven white leather, and; the navy bag was ALSO perforated (i.e., laser cut) leather. The cohesion of techniques (subtle yet clear in their purpose to give an urban and modern edge to traditional silhouettes and materials) was genius. I seriously couldn’t get over how brilliant all the subtle technique and textures were in tying everything together. As before, detail shots of all to follow…
